Transport oversized and overweight cargo including heavy machinery, construction equipment, and specialized industrial loads. Operate specialized trailers and equipment requiring advanced driving skills and load securement expertise.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport heavy and oversized equipment across state lines
Secure loads according to DOT and manufacturer specifications
Navigate complex routes with height, weight, and width restrictions
Coordinate with pilot car services and obtain necessary route permits
Conduct detailed pre-trip inspections of specialized equipment
Communicate with customers regarding delivery requirements and site conditions
Maintain compliance with all state and federal oversize/overweight regulations
Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum 3 years heavy haul or specialized freight experience
Proven experience with load securement and weight distribution
Clean safety record with no preventable accidents
Knowledge of permit requirements and escort protocols
Ability to lift 100 lbs. and perform physical tasks
