Job Description

Ensure all freight operations comply with Department of Transportation, FMCSA, and customs regulations. Conduct internal audits, manage regulatory documentation, and provide compliance training to maintain SET’s operational integrity and legal standing.

Responsibilities:

Audit freight operations for DOT and FMCSA compliance
Review driver qualification files and ensure FMCSR 391 compliance
Maintain hours of service records and ELD compliance documentation
Conduct internal safety audits and identify areas for improvement
Monitor drug and alcohol testing programs
Track regulatory changes and implement updated procedures
Prepare for DOT audits and roadside inspections
Provide compliance training to drivers and operations staff
Manage import/export documentation and customs compliance (as applicable)
Maintain company safety rating and compliance records

Qualifications:

3+ years experience in transportation compliance or safety management
Strong knowledge of FMCSR, DOT, and FMCSA regulations
Experience with compliance audits and documentation review
Certification in transportation compliance (CUSP, CDS) preferred
Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures a plus
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with compliance management software
